 I’m Nathalie Somerset, founder of Somerset Blooms, a luxury floral design studio based in Liverpool specialising in corporate projects, weddings, workshops and bespoke commissions.

I established Somerset Blooms in 2021 with a clear and focused vision: to break the divide between eco and luxury, to create refined, nature-led floral designs with thoughtfulness, integrity and care at their core. 

From the very beginning, my work has been guided by kindness -  towards my clients, my collaborators, and the materials I work with, ensuring every design feels intentional, balanced and deeply considered.

What began with a modest investment of £40.00, a bucket of freshly cut flowers and a clear sense of purpose has grown into an exclusive floral design business. Today, Somerset Blooms works on a hand-selected number of projects each year, allowing me to give my full creative attention to commissions where I can add the greatest value, not simply provide flowers, but design meaningful floral experiences that enhance a space and elevate an occasion.

My approach is calm, collaborative and highly personal. I believe the best work happens when there is trust, shared vision and space for creativity to unfold naturally. Each project is thoughtfully developed, ensuring every stem has intention and every design feels effortless yet refined.

Nature remains my greatest source of inspiration. I am most at ease immersed in quiet landscapes, wandering through woodland, walking my dog by the lake, or tending to my own flower and herb garden. The opportunity to incorporate flowers grown from seed into my work brings a particular sense of joy and connection to the designs I create.

I have been professionally trained in sustainable wedding floristry by Philippa Craddock, internationally recognised for designing the wedding flowers for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018. This training continues to inform my approach to design, mechanics and material choices with discretion and care.

From my Liverpool studio, I work with clients across Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, Manchester, Warrington and North Wales, creating elegant floral designs for those who value quality, intention and quiet luxury.
