Liverpool Town Hall: Vintage Chic Meets Old Money

Set within the historic grandeur of Liverpool Town Hall, this wedding brought together vintage chic styling with the building’s unmistakable sense of city heritage. The space’s ornate architecture and old-world elegance provided the perfect backdrop for a floral story rooted in richness, texture, and timeless design.

Concept & Palette

The floral design embraced an abundant, luxurious approach inspired by the venue’s “old money” aesthetic, while introducing a soft vintage twist. A palette led by peach tones was layered with cream, blush and gentle neutrals, creating warmth against the interior’s historic detailing. The result felt both elevated and romantic, balancing grandeur with subtle restraint.

Bridal Story & Styling

There was a distinct duality in the imagery: drapery-heavy, editorial moments paired with softer, almost ethereal framing of the bride. Inspired by a blend of vintage influence and minimalism, the styling allowed for both abundance and simplicity to coexist, highlighting the couple’s appreciation for refined, understated beauty within a luxurious setting.

Floral Tablescape

The floral tables were designed with premium blooms including roses, freesia and snapdragons, arranged in generous, flowing compositions. The design felt rich yet considered, echoing the elegance of the venue while maintaining a soft vintage character throughout.

Practical Design & Flow

Due to the Town Hall’s multi-level layout, careful planning was essential. All floral designs were created with transport and timing in mind, ensuring each piece could be positioned seamlessly for key photography moments across different rooms. This allowed the visual story to unfold effortlessly throughout the day.

Overall Mood

The wedding carried a subtle “Ophelia” quality: soft, romantic, and gently cinematic. Florals framed the bride in delicate layers, enhancing the sense of movement and atmosphere within the historic interiors.

Overall

The result was a beautifully balanced celebration where vintage charm met city grandeur. It was an abundant yet refined floral narrative that celebrated both luxury and minimalism in perfect harmony.
