Peckforton Castle: A Real Fairytale Wedding

Set within the romantic grounds of Peckforton Castle, the wedding for S & M was designed as a true fairytale celebration. The historic interiors and grand architecture called for a refined, immersive floral story that felt luxurious yet naturally connected to its surroundings.

A soft palette of ivory, white, nude and green formed the foundation of the design. This combination created a rich, dreamy aesthetic that felt elegant without being overly bright against the castle’s darker interior tones. The addition of nude hues brought warmth and balance, allowing the florals to compliment the setting beautifully while maintaining a soft, cohesive glow throughout.

Inspired by the bride’s love of gypsophila and roses, the design carried a “just picked” garden feel, softened into something elevated and timeless.

A handcrafted 8ft floral arch formed the focal point of the ceremony, created using sustainable methods. Built with a base of gladioli, roses and loose meadow-inspired foliage, it combined structure with softness, framing the ceremony in a way that felt both grand and naturally romantic.

Tall floral clusters lined the aisle in a balanced 50/50 composition of white blooms and natural foliage. Designed to feel airy and intentional, they created a gentle rhythm through the space, echoing the surrounding landscape while maintaining a refined, cohesive flow. No designs within their couples bespoke floral collection were overly structured, they were all crafted with movement and natural flow in mind. 

The floral narrative continued into the reception with a series of cohesive installations, including a ceremony table meadow arrangement and a sweeping 15ft top table garland. Each piece was handcrafted to feel connected, abundant, and thoughtfully placed within the space.

The result was a truly luxurious celebration, where fairytale romance met natural softness, and every floral detail felt intentional, harmonious, and deeply elegant within its historic setting.
